Every head of curls is different, so we don’t follow one single method. Depending on your hair’s needs and your personal preference, we may cut dry, wet, or use a combination of both. Dry cutting lets us see each curl’s natural shape and how it falls. Wet cutting can offer more precision for certain textures and styles. Together, we’ll choose what’s best for you.
Either way, every cut begins with seeing your curls as they truly are. Please arrive with your hair:
Think of your best “day one” hair, styled with your usual amount of product.
Reset fee. If you arrive with your hair pulled back, wet, or matted, we’ll need to prepare it before your consultation and cut. This adds a $25 reset fee, plus any detangling fees that apply.
Plan for at least 90 minutes. Every curly cut takes a minimum of 90 minutes. Please plan the rest of your day so you can relax and enjoy your time with us.
Your curls deserve to be seen as they truly are, and that’s where every great cut begins.
Every appointment at Hair Therapy Spa is time we set aside just for you. We prepare your service, your products, and our attention ahead of your visit. When plans change, we kindly ask for a little notice so we can offer that time to another client who’s waiting for care.
24-hour notice. Please cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before your appointment. You can reach us by phone or text at (781) 686-3083.
Late cancellations. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged 50% of the scheduled service.
If you arrive 15 minutes or more past your scheduled time, we may need to reschedule your appointment so every client receives the full care her service deserves. Running late? Let us know and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
Your trust means everything to us. If you’re not completely happy with your service, please contact us within 7 days of your appointment. We’ll schedule a priority appointment to make it right, free of charge.
Concerns shared after 7 days are still welcome, though additional service fees may apply.
We will provide a refund on unopened products returned within 30 days. Only exchanges and store credits are applicable to opened products with no more than 1/4 used. Returns must be made within 30 days.
Our spa is an intimate, calm space designed for your care. To keep it that way for every client, we kindly ask that you come to your appointment alone, as seating is limited.
If you need someone with you, for accessibility, language support, or any other reason, just let us know before your visit and we’ll gladly make arrangements.
